The long-awaited WideluxX F10 is now available for pre-order, with shipping expected to begin by the end of 2026. The 35mm panoramic film camera has already been making the rounds online, with early units appearing in the hands of photographers testing the system.

The project marks the return of the iconic Widelux camera, revived by SilverBridges—a collaboration between actor and photographer Jeff Bridges, Susan Bridges, and SilvergrainClassics founders Marwan El Mozayen and Charys Schulder.

A Modern Revival of a Classic Design

The original Widelux cameras were produced by Panon Camera Shoko in Japan and became known for their unique swing-lens design. Instead of a traditional shutter, the lens rotates across the film plane, capturing wide panoramic images in a single exposure.

Production of the original models ended after a factory fire in 2000, with the Widelux F8 being the final release. The new F10 aims to bring that same shooting experience back, while introducing a newly manufactured body.

Built for Panoramic Film Photography

The WideluxX F10 uses standard 35mm film and features a 26mm f/2.8 swing lens. It captures 24 x 58mm panoramic frames with a field of view of around 140 degrees.

Because of the wider frame size, a standard 36-exposure roll yields about 21 images. The camera offers three shutter speeds—1/15, 1/125, and 1/250 second—and uses a fixed focus range from 1.5 meters to infinity.

Fully Mechanical, Solid Construction

The camera is fully mechanical and does not require batteries, staying true to the design philosophy of the original models. It’s also relatively substantial, weighing around 880 grams and built without plastic components.

That construction reflects its positioning as a niche, enthusiast-focused camera rather than a lightweight everyday shooter.

Pricing and Availability

The WideluxX F10 is available for pre-order at $4,400, with the first production run limited to 350 units. As of now, a portion of those units has already been claimed.

SilverBridges estimates shipping will begin within six to eight months, with additional production time potentially extending that timeline. While the price is high, it’s roughly in line with mint-condition Widelux F8 cameras on the secondary market, with the added benefit of a two-year warranty and future customization options.

With the F10, SilverBridges is reviving one of film photography’s more unusual formats—offering a modern take on a camera that still stands out for how it captures the world.
