DJI may already be preparing to launch a higher-end version of its newly released Osmo Pocket 4, according to a new report from Photo Rumors.

The rumored model—now referred to as the Osmo Pocket 4P—appears to be a more advanced version with a dual-camera setup, a first for the Pocket lineup. Earlier leaks had pointed to a “Pocket 4 Pro,” with expectations that it would launch alongside the standard Pocket 4. More recent reports, however, suggest DJI is spacing out the release to avoid overlap, with the Pocket 4P now expected to be unveiled before the end of May 2026.

Dual Cameras and 3x Optical Zoom

Leaked images shared in the report show a redesigned camera module with two lenses: a standard wide-angle and a telephoto.

The telephoto lens is labeled “3x,” suggesting optical zoom rather than the sensor-based cropping used in the base Pocket 4. That would mark a notable upgrade, especially for tighter framing like portraits or close-up shots.

The larger camera housing in the leaked images also hints at more complex internals compared to the standard model.

Familiar Core Features

Despite the added camera module, the Pocket 4P is expected to retain many of the core features of the base model. That includes a 1-inch sensor, 3-axis gimbal stabilization, and a rotating touchscreen. It’s also likely to support DJI’s existing technologies like ActiveTrack 7.0 and D-Log for video.

In other words, the main difference appears to be the added flexibility from the telephoto lens rather than a complete overhaul. There’s also some speculation that the Pocket 4P could introduce higher-end video modes, potentially including 6K recording, though this hasn’t been confirmed.

If true, that would position it more clearly as a “Pro” model aimed at creators who want more versatility without moving to a larger camera system.

Release Timeline Still Unclear

The report suggests the Pocket 4P could be announced as early as late May and released in June, possibly to avoid overlapping too much with the standard Pocket 4. There are other reports that the vlogging camera will be available by mid-year, which isn’t too far off the rumored release window.

A two-month gap between releases likely won’t have much impact on sales, especially with leaks already pointing to the Pocket 4P. If anything, some buyers may choose to wait, wary of missing out on a more premium version.

Pricing Expectations

The Pocket 4P is expected to start at around $700, putting it firmly above the standard Pocket 4, which launched at $499.

If the leaks hold up, the Pocket 4P could be DJI’s way of pushing the Pocket line further into “pro” territory—adding more flexibility without giving up the compact, all-in-one design that made the series popular in the first place.
