What We Know About the DJI Osmo Pocket 4
According to the latest rumors, the standard Osmo Pocket 4 will feature a 1-inch sensor and support video recording up to 4K at 120 fps. There’s also speculation that higher resolutions or frame rates could be enabled in certain modes, though nothing has been confirmed. On paper, the base model appears broadly similar to the previous generation in terms of overall capability.
The camera is said to retain DJI’s familiar three-axis mechanical gimbal for stabilized shooting and will feature a 2-inch rotating OLED touchscreen for monitoring and controls.
Physically, the Pocket 4 reportedly keeps a similar form factor to its predecessor but with refinements aimed at better one-handed operation. The most visible changes include a dedicated zoom button and a new customizable “C” button, which can be assigned to functions such as quick mode switching.
Battery life also looks set to improve. The new model is rumored to use a larger 1,545mAh battery, offering more than 20 percent additional runtime and an estimated 200 minutes of use.
Leaks also point to an updated Creator Combo bundle. This is expected to include a wide-angle lens attachment, a battery handle, a mini tripod, and a protective case. There are also hints of new accessories, including something referred to as a “FrameTap” module, though details remain scarce.
Osmo Pocket 4 Pro Model Rumors
The previously leaked dual-camera vlogging device is now being described as the DJI Osmo Pocket 4 Pro. Reports claim it will feature a larger dual 1/1.1-inch CMOS sensor setup paired with a 2x to 4x telephoto lens for optical zoom. The lens is said to offer a variable aperture from f/1.7 to f/2.8, which would allow for better depth-of-field control and low-light performance.
The Pro model is also rumored to use Hasselblad color science. Since DJI owns Hasselblad, it wouldn’t be surprising to see more cross-pollination between the two brands in future products.
Other reported upgrades include higher frame rates, more advanced controls, and a larger camera block integrated with the rotating display.
An image of what’s claimed to be the Osmo Pocket 4 Pro has also surfaced online, showing a dual-camera system. The photo was reportedly taken at an indoor ski resort in Shenzhen.

Conflicting Leak Claims
Not everyone is convinced that the leaked dual-camera device is actually a DJI product. Reliable insider Igor Bogdanov has cast doubt on the image, sharing a side-by-side comparison with an earlier leaked Osmo Pocket 4 design.
According to Bogdanov, there are subtle but notable differences, particularly in the shape of the camera module, the gimbal arm attachment, and the overall build. He argues that these changes are unlikely to be explained by the device being an early prototype.
Instead, he suggests that the mystery camera could belong to DJI’s main competitor, Insta360, and that an Insta360 Pocket-style camera may be the more likely explanation.

Release Date Speculation
There have been reports that the Osmo Pocket 4 could be announced on January 29. DJI has also released a teaser video for that date, but it may not actually be for the Pocket 4.
The teaser prominently features the AI module for DJI’s new RS5 gimbal, which has already launched in China as part of the company’s “China-first” strategy. That has led to speculation that the January 29 teaser is instead for the RS5’s international release.
For now, there’s no confirmed announcement date for the Osmo Pocket 4. Still, with leaks now including packaging images and accessory details, a launch appears to be close. We’ll be keeping an eye out for further developments as more information emerges.
